The Kingdom Has Come
To stand steadfast is the call to Christians by God concerning the faith. Being resolute in a purpose is likened to being immovable in your belief. What does God expect of His people in a world of fluidity?
Resolute
As we mature as Christians, God replaces a stony, rigid heart with one that can be molded and shaped. We find our identity in that surrender to His will for our lives and actions.
Regaining Our Identity: A New Heart
Nothing but the blood of Jesus is going to be able to give us the strength to stand in the hour that is coming. We cannot summon the strength on our own nor endure with our own ways in this great time of shaking. There is going to be a crying out in anguish from the church for this saving power. Nothing But the Blood of Jesus
God wants a set-apart body for His church. He requires that this body of members not be caught up in the cares of this world but have eyes for His kingdom alone. However, it is not the body that has the power to separate itself from the world. This is a work of God in His people on an individual basis. Even though we are saved by His grace, God does not promise that Christians will not endure tribulation. His glory will come in and burn those things that are not Godly. In a world with so many technological advancements, we can be easily fooled into thinking that we are evolving into higher beings. The truth is that we are devolving because of the curse. They Became Fools
God is going to have a people set apart from the world. He is the only one who can do that miraculous work in us. However, we have to surrender to Him for that work to be done. Sanctification: A Testimony to God's Work in Us
What does it profit someone to be granted entry to a place, but never actually enter in? At the moment that Christ said, "It is finished," God's Kingdom opened to allow the saints to enter in and have fellowship with the Savior. We are allowed access to the One who has access to the Father. Christ has opened the door to the kingdom today. We are seated in heavenly places. The promises that we have are not for a future date. Being Present-Kingdom Minded
God speaks to His people. The question is, "Are we listening?" The sheep know the shepherd's voice and will come running when he calls. We must be so in tune with the Master that we stop what we are doing and act on His word without fail. The sheep that fails to respond gets left behind and out of the protection of the Shepherd. As Christians, we are saved and completely covered by Christ's blood. However, God wants us to completely seek Him with all of our strength and attitude. Entering Into the Promise
We carry burdens throughout our days and bear them sometimes quietly. Over time these things wear us down and exhaust us. Christ has come so that He can bear everything that the enemy uses to tire us. We must realize that we cannot carry these things on our frail shoulders. To be filled with the Spirit of God, we must first be empty of ourselves. In order to be used by God, we must allow that Spirit to flow through us. The Baptism of Love
In a world where everyone has a voice, it can be difficult to know what or who to listen to. The key is that to know God's voice, we must know God. Distractions are a work of the enemy. The Light of God's Word
God has a plan for every person on this earth. When discussing the first missionary journey of Paul and Barnabas, we see one phrase that pops out. The Holy Spirit says, "I have called them." He is the one who leads those who He calls. If we are venturing out to do God's work without God actually calling us to do the work, we are doing our own thing in our own strength. Perspective
We have very little understanding of what the glory of God looks like. It is a purifying, destructive attribute while also being an example of indescribable beauty and righteousness. Our flesh can not stand in the presence of this glory. At the same time, the magnificence of His presence will overtake us in our physical, carnal state. We must be examining our lives daily repenting from those things that are revealed to be a stumbling block to our relationship with our Savior. Repent
In a world where language is constantly changing, it is difficult to convey immovable standards to those who are not ruled by an ultimate truth. Instead of an objective truth that everyone can agree clearly exists, man's truth fills the gap. Man's truth establishes it's own reality apart from real, demonstrable fact. The Truth vs. My Truth
As Christians, we know that God is our all in all. We sing of these things that are truths, but almost seem to be more of a platitude in the drudges of everyday life. We must have a freshness in our everyday life. If we are living on the mana from yesterday, we are going to be severely malnourished. Every day we must be asking for those things that we need of God coming to Him for all of our needs. Ask and You Shall Receive
The conditional word 'if' holds a lot of power. God would have continued to bless Israel 'if' they would have continued to worship Him. God will strengthen His people 'if' they will not turn away from Him and His will. That small word implies our part of the covenant.
